Since launching in March 2020, we're immensely proud to have won a number of prestigious awards!
Small Business Sunday, shortened to the hashtag #SBS on Twitter, was created by Theo Paphitis in October 2010. Theo is best known for appearing on Dragons' Den on BBC Two. He is Chairman of Ryman Stationery plus Boux Avenue lingerie, Robert Dyas and latest acquisition London Graphic Centre.
Each week, Theo rewards small businesses that tweet him @TheoPaphitis and describe their businesses in one tweet including the all-important hashtag #SBS. (Only tweets made in the time slot between 5.00 PM and 7.30 PM each Sunday count.)
Every Monday night at 8pm, Theo reviews and chooses his favourite lucky six who are then re-tweeted. As he has around 500k followers, this provides a massive boost to the chosen lucky businesses.

#WOW (Women on Wednesdays) and Championing Working Women is an organisation that represents the interests of women in the UK who work. It was set up by Jacqueline Gold CBE, the founder of Ann Summers, to recognise the achievements of, and support, women starting their own businesses. Through the #WOW twitter competition, the growth and needs of the network has led Jacqueline to develop the WOW offering. With a clear objective to use WOW to give a voice to women who work, empower these women and to celebrate their successes, Jacqueline’s vision is that together women across the UK can truly influence and achieve change that allows all women who want to, the opportunity to work.
Surfers Against Sewage (SAS) are a community network tackling single-use plastic from beaches & green spaces all the way back to the brands and businesses who create it.
One of their many initiatives is to encourage UK, independent businesses to rethinking their impact and remove avoidable, single-use plastic from their businesses. To recognise their efforts, SAS present 'Plastic-Free Business Champion' Awards.
On Twitter, Andy Quinn and Aqua Design Group have two competitions to celebrate men and women in business. Every week they invite business owners to pitch their businesses in a tweet, after which they choose a deserving entrant to be crowned either #KingOf or #QueenOf. We were crowned Queen Of Eco-Friendly Gifts. Award winners are invited to take part in a weekly Twitter networking hour and to have their businesses feature on their website: the Royal Connection.
